Felicity Comes to ATX Television

Felicity reunited for ATX Television Festival 2018

Time to relive those college years: no, not yours (well, maybe yours), as ATX Television Festival has just annouced a very special reunion of the cast and creatives of Felicity.

The panel, co-presented by Entertainment Weekly and Hulu, will feature not just the titular Cali-to-NY transplant Felicity Porter herself, Keri Russell (who had previously been announced for a panel on her smash hit spy drama The Americans), but co-stars Scott Speedman (love interest Ben Covington), Tangi Miller (Elena Tyler), Amanda Foreman (Meghan Rotundi), Amy Jo Johnson (Julie Emrick), and Ian Gomez (Javier Clemente Quintata), as well as director/producer Lawrence Trilling, with more names to come.

That's not the only big announcement today for ATX Television Festival (June 7-10):

• Hulu will also be celebrating their TGIF programming block of Nineties comedy, with the TGIHulu! panel. The attendees will be a who's who of golden age of teen and tween cable programming, including Ben Savage and Michael Jacobs from Boy Meets World, William Bickley and Kellie Shanygne Williams (Family Matters), Nell Scovell (Sabrina the Teenage Witch), and Bronson Pinchot (Perfect Strangers), who will soon be back on must-see buzz TV with his recently announced part in Netflix's The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

• Normally it's seen as a scheduling conflict that ATX coincides with the Republic of Texas motorcycle rally. This year the two blend with a special sneak look at Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC, with ATX regular Kurt Sutter and co-creator Elgin James, plus executive producer/director Norberto Barba, and cast members, with a special Q&A at the Paramount Theatre open to ATX attendees and rally VIP guests.

• HBO will be there too, not just with an opening night showing of the Amy Adams-starring Sharp Objects, but to highlight two comedies: High Maintenance, with co-creator Katja Blichfeld, co-creator/star Ben Sinclair, and executive producer Russell Gregory in attendance, plus Crashing creator and star Pete Holmes to hand.

• SYFY and IDW Entertainment mosey into town with a sneak preview of season three of cult horror/Western hybrid Wynonna Earp, featuring creator/showrunner Emily Andras and stars Melanie Scrofano, Tim Rozon, and Katherine Barrell. 

• The festival will also honor legendary TV producer Marcy Carsey, co-founder of the Carsey-Werner Company (responsible for such groundbreaking works and rerun mainstays as Cybill, The Cosby Show, Grace Under Fire, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and That '70s Show) and this year's recipient of the ATX Award in Television Excellence. That places Carsey in an elite club that includes peers such as Henry Winkler, James L. Brooks, and Norman Lear.

These announcements add to an already packed schedule, including The Wire creator David Simon; OWN's Queen Sugar crew; Vince Gilligan and Bob Odenkirk on Better Call Saul; The Nash Bridges writers' room rebuilt for one night only; plus a thirtysomething reunion and much, much more.
