Gaming Gifts That Aren’t Games

By James Renovitch, December 10, 2015, 7:00am, Picture in Picture

Maybe that person on your holiday shopping list has a relative who spoils them with all of the season’s big game releases. But all you know about that giftee is that they love video games. What’s a gifter to do?

That was the question posed to the proprietors of two local shops servicing the game-inclined: Guzu Gallery and Game Over Videogames. It goes without saying that both store have much more than is listed here, so paying them a visit is highly recommended, but here are a few items worth noting.

Game Over Videogames:

Street Fighter Monopoly
$34.99

Bowser Plush
$29.99

Sonic the Hedgehog Beanie
$14.99

Guzu Gallery:

You'll need to go into the store to purchase these items, but links have been included to give you a sense of what to expect.

Kidrobot x Megaman Blind Boxes

Dragon Age Titans Blind Box Figures

10 Doh Vinyl Figures

Guzu also recommended a few works from their current exhibit, “High Scores - Artwork Inspired by Videogames.” Suggestions included the work of Alan Defibaugh, Half-Human, Alice Meichi Li, Nathan Walker, and Kachi. Prints can be purchased online, but the entire exhibit is definitely worth checking out.

Both stores also carry trusty gift card’s for the terminally indecisive. Godspeed with all of your holiday shopping!
