Mondo is announcing: We Buy Your Kids. No, don't panic, it's not the latest unexpected expansion of the local gallery's brand. Australian artists Sonny Day and Biddy Maroney, aka design duo We Buy Your Kids, are the latest to get wall space at the Guadalupe gallery.

The pair already landed on planet Mondo with their pop-arty prints for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and The Shining. Mondo have already released their designs for new Betelgeuse and Conan the Barbarian (Two snakes coming together!) prints: Now we've got the first look at their new design for John Carpenter's The Thing. The 18" by 24" screenprint is a limited run of 135, and is party of the Tina's Mom's Boyfriend collection,

Day and Maroney will be in Austin for the opening reception at the Mondo Gallery, 4115 Guadalupe, this Friday, Nov. 30, 7-10pm. After that, the show runs through to Jan. 5, gallery hours Tuesday to Saturday, 12-6pm.
