This Week's Waste of Time
A free video game from the mind of a 5-year-old

Every generation a game comes along that speaks to the collective consciousness of America, nay, the world. A game so thick with meaning and beauty, it transcends "art" and channels the divine. That game is Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure. Something you should know about the auteur behind this game; she friggin' loves ponycorns.
Seriously though, this game is cuteness wrapped up in a rainbow and deep-fried in springtime. Made by a father-daughter team for a game jam in Toronto, SMPA might not innovate, but it's an utterly charming showcase for the power of the video-game medium and the extent to which the door for game development has swung open. Granted, Sissy's father did the coding, but the drawings, voice acting, and parts of the script and gameplay came from the mind of a child. A friggin' awesome child at that.
You should visit Cassie's world. You won't want to leave until every ponycorn is in a jar.
