Dance magic dance your week away
By Rob Cohen, 6:30PM, Mon. Feb. 2, 2015
Get on your feet and make it happen with these three dance songs and one dreamy come down.
"Doing It" Charli XCX featuring Rita Ora
Pop's hottest underdogs, Charli XCX and Rita Ora, whom you may know from Iggy Azalea's "Black Widow" team up for this fresh new single version of this party anthem. While there are some hoes in the know, it's time these UK number ones cross over big time.
"The Party Line" Belle & Sebastian
For being such a B+S fan, I am surprisingly behind on their reemergence as synthy party starters rather than wallflowers. This first single, off their new album Girls in Peacetime Just Want to Dance, finds them with dance fever, and it's nice to hear them experiment, but their twee, personal touch is missed ever so slightly.
"Right Here, Right Now" Giorgio Moroder featuring Kylie Minogue
Disco ducks rejoice! The king returns with an album full of divas and shards of the Studio 54 disco balls. This fun, frivolous dance floor filler features Minogue as the dancing queen. Bow down, bitches.
"Back, Baby" Jessica Pratt
This angel-voiced pixie dream girl is back with a new album of her gorgeous, timeless folk euphoria. New LP On Your Own Love Again is out now.
