There's something about Jenny…
By Rob Cohen, 1:30PM, Tue. Nov. 12, 2013
A random search of the name "jenn" in iTunes turned up these three twee songs about some girl named Jenny (which happened to go together perfectly).
"Jenny Artichoke" Kaleidoscope (UK)
Somewhere on the seven seas she sails across the breeze, capturing the hearts of sailors. Check out more of this underrated psychedelic band, not to be mistaken for the American band of the same name (who are also pretty swell). Their album Tangerine Dream is a great place to start.
"Photo Jenny" Belle and Sebastian
Stuart Murdoch gets all stalkery trying to get a Polaroid of his beloved, ugly girl.
"Jennifer Juniper" Donovan
Written about Jenny Boyd, one time sister-in-law of George Harrison and Eric Clapton, and wife of Mick Fleetwood, the song is a feathery sweet love song with a timeless magic about it.
