Austin Pride drops the bomb: Peaches will headline Austin Pride 2012

Peaches is coming to Austin Pride 2012!
Peaches is coming to Austin Pride 2012!

What the …? The kids from Austin Pride were not kidding last night when they said to watch out for today's announcement.

Hmmm, well, Austin Pride Entertainment Director Nathan James Garcia sure figured out a way to get everyone calling him "all the time like Blondie." Just book a bombshell like one Merrill Beth Nisker, aka Peaches, to play the 21st anniversary iteration our annual festival. We can just see him, sitting back, stroking his chin hair and laughing maniacally as this crazy news hits the screens and streets.

As soon as he picks up the damn telephone, we'll have more details. In the meanwhile, join the fray and go blow this up on Facebook, which, other than their own AGLPF webpage, seems to be the frontline for the release of this exciting bit of information.

Stay tuned.
