MARRIAGE MATTERS, BUT IT'S NOT EVERYTHING Seventy U.S. mayors voiced their support for marriage equality this last week just as Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley introduced a marriage equality bill to his state.

Washington may also legalize marriage equality this year, but the law will still likely face one last hurdle at the ballot box.

But even though marriage equality helps keep aging LGBTs mentally healthy, it does little to address the gross financial and medical disparities faced by African-American LGBTs and won't stop the so-called Defense of Marriage Act from splitting up bi-national same-sex couples.

BULLYCIDES TAKE TWO MORE LIVES After a battle with depression, a recent breakup, and what his family calls "a lifetime of taunts and bullying," 18-year-old Jeffrey Fehr committed suicide. Earlier this month, 14-year-old Phillip Parker committed suicide due to bullying as well.

WILL LESBIANS TAKE CENTER STAGE AT STATE OF UNION? Tonight during the president's State of the Union address, two lesbians will sit next to the First Lady. Will the president finally endorse an Employment Non-Discrimination Act that will finally keep LGBTs from being fired or harassed at work?

T-SHIRT PHILOSOPHY A lesbian teen in Missouri is fighting a local printer who refused to print a T-shirt for her school's gay-straight alliance. The T-shirt reads: “Why is it that as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?”
