Maximum Minis

By Kate X Messer, June 20, 2008, 4:47pm, Qmmunity

Went to the "soft" opening of V's Mini-Burgers near the corner of MLK and Airport (in the swale between Taco Bell and Whataburger) this morning. Dang those mini-burgers are YUM: juicy grilled beef, a supersoft, locally made bun, and some fab Sterzing chips on the side.

The official Grand Opening is

... was Sat., June 21. Regular Austin MySpacers (especially queer Austin MySpacers) may know "V" better as Virginiainc., a 2007 Austin transplant from Louisville, KY, whose positively viral blanketing of the social networking site made her a household name. Or at least a lesbian household name. You may know her from her hit "Leather Lover," a tune once used in a brilliant bit of theatre involving a wrestling Pikachu as performed by local drag kings Kings N Things.

Without devolving into too much commercial claptrap, suffice to say: Eat a mini or some other bit of deliciousness from this cart and you will be supporting family. The menu features the teeny burgers in a variety of permutations as well as a veggie Frito pie, a bratworst sandwich, tacos, as well as breakfast.
