I've heard a rumor...

I've heard a rumor about the Trail of Lights 5k, and I'm really holding on to the fact that it will be true. The rumor is that since the race is so popular, it gets crowded with strollers, dogs and people, that you really end up walking it. I'm really hoping that this is true, because I am in no way ready to run it! I won't be one of those people trying to run around others, I'll go with the flow! And I hope that flow is slow!

The holidays were good for me, but took their toll on any training I was doing. The only training during the holiday I was doing, was professional pie eating contest training. HA! We were to do our 5 miles two weeks ago, and I only ended up doing 2 (although did it with the baby in the stroller, which I think that the stroller plus 20 lbs of baby does add some good resistance to the workout!) And this past weekend, I was busy dropping off my mom and gram at the airport in the rain, while Ingrid did her thing on the trails at Town Lake (Go Ingrid!) There was no way I was making it out there. I can only hope that I can step it up here these last two weeks and do some training during the week again so that I can enjoy the race (walking or running, however it may be!) It's been a great journey so far - and a great group of folks out there on Team Zen. Wish us all luck - it's the home stretch guys!
