COP27: Ukraine and the Climate Impact of War

WATCH: Beaman Floyd discusses national defense and the climate

As the world’s eyes turn to Egypt for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), Austin-based Texas Impact/Texas Interfaith Power & Light is sending to the Chronicle daily dispatches from the conference.

Observers at the COP have a chance to witness members of national delegations negotiating, as well as attending presentations known as "side events" where they learn about specific topics. Beaman Floyd, president of the Texas Impact Foundation, describes a side event on climate change and war, hosted by the nation of Ukraine.
