Get free advice about cats and adopt a new friend for free

The Austin Humane Society will kick off it's adopt-a-shelter-cat month today with an "ask a vet" session, from 12-2p.
In addition to the free vet session, with AHS veterinarian Katie Luke, beginning today, from 12-7pm, and running through June 30, the shelter will waive adoption fees for all cats over a year old.
The free adoption event is made possible by Fresh Step litter. All the regular adoption policies apply (kitty-human matching, say), and with every new bundle of furry joy comes withup-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, microchip, and a free month of pet insurance from ShelterCare – now that's a deal!
To celebrate the adoption event, the AHS has come up with a cute new video. You should watch it. You can do so here.

*an earlier version of this post incorrectly reported that cats would receive a year of insurance, and omitted the name of the insurance provider, ShelterCare.
