The Daily Hustle: 6/17/10

Taking a knee

Taking a knee
Taking a knee

Sometimes, you gotta take a a minute to take it all in.

That's where the Hustle's at today. With no City Council meeting to occupy our attention, he's taking a breather to review all the week's developments.

The biggest take away so far's been the bond announcement yesterday. But there's tons more covered in the pages of the Chron today. Check out the news section (I'm particularly partial to Michael King's sports column this week), and we'll touch base tomorrow.

What the hell else is happening?

On the city calendar: The Austin Housing Authority meets at their central office, 1124 S. IH-35, at noon.

The Waller Creek Citizen Advisory Committee meets in the Boards and Commissions room at City Hall, 310 W. Second, 6pm.

And of course, a public forum on the transportation bond package is happening today in council chambers, from 4-8pm.

HEY! Sign up for the Hustle's weekly e-mail newsletter, recapping news, politics and more every Friday. Don't worry, we'll never spam or sell your address. Visit here, enter your info, and click 'City Hall Hustle.'
