Yesterday, while high-profile Democrat John Sharp was declaring his candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Kay Bailey Hutchison, another entry was being announced up in the Metroplex, this time on the Republican side: Former Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's PoliTex blog that he'll be setting up an exploratory committee this week.
You know, as much as we'd prefer a Democrat, Williams' not-quite-lifelike smile would make a nice complement to the robotic demeanor of our other senator, John Cornyn.
