Tonight's the night literally dozens of you have been waiting for – the swearing-in ceremony for your new City Council. Farewell, Betty Dunkerely! Sayonara, Jennifer Kim – tonight, along with the usual suspects, council members elect Laura Morrison and Randi Shade will become the newest inaugurated members on the dais. Plus, as its longest serving council member, Brewster McCracken will be christened the council's (largely ceremonial) Mayor Pro Tem. Whoa. The swearing-in begins at 6pm at city hall, 301 W. Second Street, followed by a reception at Antone's thrown by noobs Morrison and Shade. (As if city council isn't the real home of the blues.) Oh, and City Hall Hustle will document it all for posterity – or at least, tomorrow's episode.
