By Lee Nichols, 2:00PM, Fri. Feb. 29, 2008
If you want to understand how the precinct caucuses are going to work on Tuesday night after the polls close and you don't mind a bit of partisan spin, then some Austin Obama supporters are offering a "training session" tonight (see press release below). Or you could read my article about it.
Press release:
What: Texas Kids for Obama and Adult Caucus Voting Training Party - we'll be selling T-Shirts, kids will make Barack Obama posters and engage in other fun kid's activities while parents network and learn about the Democratic Primary/Caucus voting process. We'll have English and Spanish speakers. We're also looking for "Obama-Mama's" to help us prepare food for our hard-working volunteers between now and Tues., March 4th. We'll enjoy jazz music by Jeff Lofton.
When: Friday, Feb. 29th, 5:00pm
Where: Victory Grill, 1104 E. 11th Street (1/4 mile East of I-35)
Cost: FREE (donations are accepted and proceeds will go to Barack Obama campaign)
