Q&A Hole: My Time-Traveling Future Self Wants Me to Do What?

By Kevin Curtin, May 4, 2020, 9:00am, Earache!

The third commandment mandates “Thou Shalt Not Kill,” but what if you were told you had to, in order to save the world… and the person giving you the orders was yourself from the future?

This is the query we posed to six Austin musicians - Abhi the Nomad, Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson, Nnedi “Nebula” Agbaroji of Trouble in the Streets, Moving Panoramas singer Leslie Sisson, Kady Rain, and ShinyribsKevin Russell as part of our Q&A Hole series, where Yours Truly blindsides artists with insane questions.

“If a time-traveling version of your future self came to you and told you that you needed to assassinate Elon Musk to save humans from extinction, how would you react?”

As noted in the clip, neither the Austin Chronicle, nor the participants of Q&A Hole, endorse assassination of any kind. It’s just a crazy theoretical situation.

Q&A Hole is edited by John Anderson, produced by Tamar Price, and thought up by myself, music and cannabis reporter Kevin Curtin. Jana Birchum and Jacob Schmidt recorded the audio, and the theme song is by Kevin Curtin, Jonas Wilson, and Timothy Abdnour.
