What’s the frequency, Kevin?

Black Eyed Vermillion’s trip to the Moonrunners Music Festival in Chicago means Kevin Curtin, who lends mandolin to the local crust punk ensemble, couldn’t make our SXSWfm taping this week. Alas, proceedings fell to yours truly – por mi cuenta.
This week’s Chronolog leaned on locals announced Tuesday for October’s Austin City Limits Music Festival: Spoon, Mike & the Moonpies, Elizabeth McQueen, Arum Rae, Riders Against the Storm. We also introduced new singles from White Ghost Shivers, Celeste, and Otis the Destroyer, then previewed a few shows around town this weekend – Leo Rondeau, Grape St., Ghost Wolves.
Kevin returns from the van next week with a stanky sack of laundry and, we can only hope, a still-steamy deep dish pizza from Second City institution Lou Malnati’s. Full track list below the Soundcloud. This episode airs for two weeks.
