5 Minutes at Blues on the Green
ACL Music Fest tuneup spotlights three chief locals
By Derek Van Wagner, 3:00PM, Tue. Aug. 13, 2013
Last Wednesday, I ducked backstage at KGSR’s last Blues on the Green of the summer and cornered members of the evening’s three acts: My Jerusalem, the Preservation, and White Denim.
We slugged a few Firemans 4's before chatting up the Preservation and My Jerusalem about marriage and tours through Eastern Europe, then caught up with White Denim guitarist Austin Jenkins about the high-flying crew’s new album, Corsicana Lemonade, out Oct. 29. Don’t fret if you weren’t able to make it out: All three bands play Austin City Limits Music Festival in October.
