The Good Psych Music Club

Austin Psych Fest teams with local videographers tonight!

The Good Psych Music Club

The Good Music Club, a web series bringing Austin acts to the world though live videos, partners with Austin Psych Fest tonight at the Scottish Rite. TGMC partner and KUTX deejay Laurie Gallardo chose Kay Leotard, Obscured by Echoes, and the Wolf as a stylistic preview of next week’s fest.

“I’ve been a fan of Pysch Fest ever since its inception,” enthuses Gallardo. “When the Black Angels and friends started it, it seemed like such a natural thing to do because those guys know how to throw a party.”

The surreal interior of the Scottish Rite Theater will no doubt compliment the spotlighted genre.

“To work with the Good Music Club is a great opportunity for us because we’re still trying to get the word out regionally,” says Psych Fest spokeswoman Erica Shamaly. “It’s amazing how many people in Austin don’t know about Psych Fest, while it’s surprisingly well known in places like Europe and Australia.”

Here’s three pre-TGMC videos to preview the preview – 9pm, $5.
