Wednesday Rewind

Humping in three clicks or less, plus Hellfire Social

Sahara Lounge owner Topaz McGarrigle has a new gothic-psych project, Hellfire Social, that's holding down most Wednesday nights at the Eastside bar (read more in tomorrow's OTR). The band started originally as a one-man studio-film project, evidenced by these excellent debut videos, “Bleeding in Circles” and disturbing short film “Running.”

Bali Yaaah “Shoot It”
According to frontman Chris Brown, the Hollywood high concept pitch for Bali Yaaah is “LCD Soundsystem meets the Black Angels.” There's definitely that dark vibe rippling through “Shoot It,” a feature that comes pre-loaded to the trio's “Usagi” player.

Monofonus Press “Dry Hump the Game”
Words can't really do justice this latest genius stroke from Austin's multi-media experts, Monofonus Press. Jump in, play along, and then pick up the soundtrack.
