May the Force (and adidas) Be With You
The sneaker brand that brought you "Winged Attitude" and "Tongue Attitude" from Jeremy Scott, as well as the race car-inspired Porsche SP1 shoe, is dipping back into American consumer-nostalgia, this time with a full range of "Star Wars" gear.

The Ladies of SXSW
Last year, ladies were out in force at South by Southwest. This year, the number seems to have skyrocketed. With the Runaways movie in town, Courtney Love wandering around, and the amazingness of the sissy bounce performers, the week had that feminine mystique.

Inside the House of Mouse
Ya kinda expect guests at SXSW to say things like "I was out on the streets 'til 12 o'clock last night, throwing up." Not necessarily veteran Disney producer Don Hahn, director of Waking Sleeping Beauty, though.

Quizzing the Lion
Before the SXSW screening of his new satire Four Lions at the Paramount on Friday, director Chris Morris preempted one inevitable Q from the post-screening Q&A. "The most common question about the film is, 'Why make a comedy about terrorism?'"

Naked Zellner = Golden Ticket

MetroRail: The Trip Home
Okay, I take back my previous comment about the wi-fi on the train working "great." It could use a little tweaking. On my return trip, it took a few tries to get connected. In fact, I was almost to MLK station before I got hooked up. Ridership on this first day: Surprisingly light, in my opinion, given the media attention. I'll update later with quotes and video.

Riding (and Live-Blogging) the MetroRail
Yes, the wi-fi on the MetroRail works great. And no, I didn't make that first, historic train. Leaving my car in Leander all day was going to cause me some logistical problems later today, so I decided to catch another first: The first rush-hour train. Everything going great, and a not-quite full load of passengers. More later.

Just a Li'l Tease, My Chickens
Oh babies, it was a year. A year for queer. We promise a full gallery and some video and all sorts of verbiage about how much we were enriched, enthralled, and enrobed by the last 12 days.
