Eats and Drinks to Pair With the Masters Golf Tournament

Golf claps for seltzers and pimento cheese

The Venn diagrams of people who play golf, people who watch golf on TV, and people who watch golf in bars may be a single circle: The Masters Tournament is happening in Augusta, Georgia, this weekend. This event involves pimento cheese sandwiches, beverages, and of course, golf. Here's where you can enjoy all three this weekend.

Clubby Seltzers, the #1 seltzer in golf (did you know there was a ranking?), is celebrating its second anniversary on April 7, tournament kick-off day, and they want to feed you the aforementioned pimento cheese sandwiches and offer you a beverage.

Head to Skinny’s Off Track Bar (1806 E. 12th) from 3-7:30pm on Friday for $5 pimento cheese sandwiches, play some putter pong or corn hole, partake in a Masters photo op, and imbibe in $25 Clubby buckets. The specials and sandwiches will be offered during the whole tournament.

(Clubby Seltzers is a canned take on the golf course fave, the Club Special, usually made with vodka, Sprite, limeade, and club soda. The seltzers come in grape, raspberry-lemon, lemon-lime, and orange flavors.)

And if hanging out in a bar while watching golf isn’t your speed, Mum Foods is offering a special pimento-cheese-centric menu at its 5811 Manor Rd. restaurant all weekend, along with discounted beer and wine and $1 chocolate chip cookies.
