MANDOLA’S EASTER SPECIALS This beloved Italian joint has a variety of special menu items created for Easter (available in-restaurant, for take-out and curbside pickup): Brasato ($19.50) braised beef short ribs with mashed potatoes and a red wine reduction; Baked Ziti ($14.50) macaroni in a sausage ragu with mushrooms, bechamel sauce, romano and mozzarella cheese, all baked in a casserole housemade Peeps marshmallow gelato; and more. LITTLE OLA’S EASTER BISCUITS & MORE There are two Easter Biscuit packs here to set you up right: Little Ola’s Easter Biscuit Pack ($30): six biscuits, housemade honey butter, strawberry jam, and pimento cheese. EASTER AT PERRY’S Perry’s Steakhouse is offering an Easter special that comes with an appetizer (pear salad or carrot ginger soup), an entrée (triple-glazed ham or caramelized prime rib), sides, and a white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. (Note: You can also pre-order this special online, for pickup on April 8-9.) And, for the brunch-goers of Austin, Perry's is opening an hour earlier (at 11am) and offering three of their brunch cocktails (brandy milk punch, mimosa, and bloody mary). GOLDIE’S EASTER AFTERNOON TEA Oh my! Goldie's – that intimate lobby level cocktail bar and lounge that's typically reserved only for Austin Proper Hotel guests and residents – is offering a proper afternoon Easter to all citizens seeking some posh and civilized noms on this day. SUMMER HOUSE ON MUSIC LANE: EASTER BRUNCH This elegant SoCo dining spot, the culinary gem of Hotel Magdalena, offers a delicious three-course menu that features an assortment of pastries and crispy fingerlings for the table, along with dishes like deviled eggs with trout roe, breakfast sandwiches, smashburgers, Eggs in Purgatory, pozole verde, and more – plus special menu items for the kids. Sun., April 9, 10am-4pm. ABA’S EASTER BRUNCH Mmmm, when the primo Mediterranean restaurant in this town gets all Eastery for your Sunday pleasure, you know they do it right, serving up a light spring frittata with lump crab (and English peas, shaved asparagus, avocado, pickled fresnos, parmesan) for dine-in brunch. Sun., April 9, 10am-3pm.
