Taco Takedown Needs Cooks
Stuff a tortilla for fabulous prizes

This isn’t technically a medically valid diagnosis, but if you hate tacos, it’s probably because you’re a terrible person whose childhood Lhasa apso never wagged its tail when you came home from mean school.
The rest of you should be stoked that Matt Timms is back in Austin for a Taco Takedown, a chance for Austin cooks to get all Top Chef without all the boring confessionals. El Milagro will be providing a ton of tortillas, but the Takedown still needs some local taco warlords to fill them.
Do you have a recipe for salsify tacos drizzled with an ugli fruit gastrique? Or a black magic spell that transmutes sticky toffee pudding, queso fresco, and gochujang into al pastor? Suit up in your toughest apron for a chance to win goodies from Cuisinart, Analon, Microplane, and Wüsthof.
The esteemed judges will include Mando Rayo of Taco Journalism, Addie Broyles of the Austin American-Stateman, Hilah Johnson of Hilah Cooking, and myself. Aspiring contestants should email [email protected].
