Nothing can ruin a first date quicker than a bad beer selection. It’s true. Everything is going just fine until someone picks up a six pack of Keystone.

Fret no more, Central Market is offering a series of beer events aimed at educating and engaging consumers, from beginners in need of a gateway beer to craft beer connoisseurs. Central Market’s Brewniversity will take place at both North Lamar and Westgate locations from Sept. 11-24. Join Central Market Cooking School and Jester King Brewery to learn the perfect complement to their farmhouse ales or enjoy a Lagunitas Hop Stoopid while mastering the perfect grilled fillet medallions with a roasted garlic-champ-potato and pepper cream sauce. Either way, it’s a 14 day crash course in beer education. Additional events include a Sip and Stroll through nine stations of beer and food selections on Sept. 12 from 5-8pm and almost daily tastings from the likes of Real Ale and Independence Brewing Company.
