Chef Edward Lee's Asian-influenced Southern cooking was one of the most intriguing aspects of his Top Chef season. Lee's appearance on the show garnered him a cookbook deal. His promotional tour brings him to Austin tonight, where Lee will be hosted by his fellow competitor and season nine winner, Austin's own Top Chef, Paul Qui.

Folks from BookPeople will be on hand to sell books and the kitchen will be serving two seasonal specials inspired by recipes from the book: Fried Calamari Rice Bowls ($9) and Crispy Spaghetti Squash Dumplings ($3).

Not only will there be food specials, but Bourbon sweet tea made with Jefferson's Reserve Bourbon will be served with every book sold and there will be giveaways from both East Side King and Red Boat Fish Sauce. Sounds like an Asian/Southern fusion party if ever there was one. Don't miss it.
