Grab your picnic blankets, and settle in for a feast. Australian blogger, hunter, fisher, grower, and forager Rohan Anderson of Whole Larder Love is arriving in Austin as part of his nationwide book tour.
Part practical guide to sustainable living and part peasant-style cookbook, Whole Larder Love: Grow Gather Hunt Cook (powerHouse Books, $35, 240 pp.) is a testament to self-sufficiency. The book signing and dinner, sponsored by Shiner Beers, will feature a locally sourced pig roast prepared by Tink Pinkard from Off the Fly and Jeremy Barnwell from Barnison Catering. Touted as an event for “food, friends, and community,” bluegrass band Sour Bridges will provide entertainment for the night’s festivities.
Tickets are $30 per person, and can be purchased here.
Wed., June 5, 7pm. Sustain Center at Reclaimed Space, 443 S. Hwy. 183.
