The game of golf has a stigma of being “boring,” but one company is changing that, and they’re coming to Austin this month!

Australia's premiere creator of competitive socializing experiences, Funlab, is opening their sensational mini-golf concept, Holey Moley Golf Club, the second in the U.S. and the first in Texas, in Austin on March 22. This will be the first brand-built and designed location in the fully renovated, yet historically preserved, former Native Hostel building located at 807 East 4th Street. Want to get in on the fun? A mini golf-course and bar that turns putt-putt into a multi-sensory labyrinth of golf mayhem, Holey Moley Golf Club has no shortage of fun options available to us Austinites. Come for the golf, but stay for the delicious food, photo-worthy drinks, beautiful outdoor space, live entertainment and private karaoke rooms!

The first question you must be asking is “How are the courses?” We are happy to report that Holey Moley comes equipped with three pop culture-inspired golf courses (that’s 27 holes total!). Whether you want to play hooky with “Ferris Wheeler’s Day Off”, experience the prehistoric thrills of “Tee Rex”, or brave the weather of “Makin It Rain”, Holey Moley Golf Club has got your mini-golf game covered.

Lest you think that Holey Moley is just a golf course with no additional attractions, you couldn’t be more wrong! After working up an appetite, you can look to the Caddyshack menu for some delicious eats and drinks, including Texas-inspired treats like the BBQ Brisket Loaded Fries, Taco Salad,Nacho Platter and more! Not hungry? Lucky for you, the drink menu is filled with Instagram-worthy drinks, served in wild glassware like bathtubs and disco balls.

Highlights include the Adios Motherfunner, Rub a Dub in the Tub,Howdy Putt’ners (perfect for sharing and served in a cowboy hat!) and more.

Holey Moley also serves as an epic venue, complete with a large outdoor space and stage that will feature live entertainment on the weekends and during special events. The space is designed to fit up to 500 people and will also feature art commissioned by local graffiti artists, one of the the many ways that Holey Moley is injecting a little bit of Austin into its DNA. As if that wasn’t enough, Holey Moley will also offer al fresco dining and two private karaoke rooms which can fit up to 15 people each.

With so many fun options available, it should come as no surprise that Holey Moley is a great spot for private events, no matter the size! From bachelor/bachelorette parties to work gatherings to team-building events, there are a range of packages available for any occasion and are customizable for your party’s needs. Holey Moley’s dedicated team of planners is available to coordinate events as small as 10 guests to events as large as 500!

Holey Moley Golf Club officially opens in Austin on Friday March 22, 2024, with a Houston location slated to open in late Spring, followed by another location in San Francisco, California later in 2024.
