Raise your hand if you’ve ever tried to cut your own hair. Just a couple of months ago, I was in a bind and didn’t have the time to find a salon, schedule an appointment, make the drive and wait in the waiting room, so I took matters into my own hands.

On the day of my appointment, I received a text about 30 minutes prior to my appointment informing me that my stylist Whitney was on the way to my home. I could continue working from home and wait for her to arrive, and she did just that (wearing a mask, of course) about 15 minutes later. It took her about 5-10 minutes to set up her station in the area I had designated for her, and at that point she was ready for me to sit.

As mentioned above, safety is a key factor in SpaDash’s services. Not only does each stylist working for the company wear a mask while they are in your space, but they put hair tarps down to protect your floor from debris. Plus, you’ll get to avoid the crowded waiting areas of most salons. When speaking to my stylist Whitney, she actually mentioned that she styled a lot of family’s hair because they feel safer with SpaDash as opposed to going to a brick-and-mortar salon.

As an overall experience, SpaDash is easy to recommend. The user interface on the app is attractive, the booking process is seamless and easy, and the appointment itself is incredibly professional. I confess that, as someone who has been working from home since March, I was grateful to finally have a professional haircut and beard-trim. Whitney was not only professional, but also conversational, which is something I’ve struggled with finding in hair care providers in the past.
