Slayer to Call It Quits – After Farewell Tour

Thrash Godfathers shred Circuit of the Americas June 20

Metal lords Slayer have announced they’re bringing 37 years of musical extremity to an end after one final global trek. In North America, they’ll be accompanied by fellow hellions Lamb of God, Anthrax, Behemoth, and Testament. The victory lap ends on June 20 at the Circuit of the Americas.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 26, at 10am. Exclusive merchandise packages that include onstage seating and meet-and-greets will be available.

In addition to pioneering some of the heaviest sounds known to mankind since the quartet’s 1981 breakout from Southern California, Slayer racked up five Grammy nominations and two Grammy awards. They suffered the loss of founding lead guitarist Jeff Hanneman in 2013.
