Many Ways to get to the Hot Sauce Festival

By Tamar Price, August 18, 2014, 11:52am, Events Blog

The Hot Sauce Festival is just a week away, so it’s a good time to start planning how you’ll get there! Lucky for you we’ve compiled a list of all the transportation options to Fiesta Gardens next Sunday.

Take the bus

Capital Metro routes 17, 21, and 22 have stops that service the areas near Fiesta Gardens. Use the Captial Metro Trip Planner online.

Biking: Borrow or bring your own

Austin B-cycle is a service that allows riders to use and return bikes at designated locations. Once you’re at a B-cycle location, just pay and ride. There will be a pop-up station at the festival entrance for B-cycle users. Find various pick-up locations all over central Austin here.

If you already own a bike, there will be plenty of bike racks at the main entrance to park your wheels while you enjoy the Hot Sauce Fest.

Car sharing services

Services like Uber and Lyft can help you find drivers in your area that will pick you up and drop you off at your convenience. The best part is that you can split the cost with your fellow passengers and signing up is easy.

Carpooling

Sometimes, you just gotta drive your car, and we get that. Carpooling with friends and family is always encouraged. Free parking will be available across from Plaza Saltillo at the northwest corner of Fourth & Waller for Hot Sauce Festival attendees, where Capital Metro will provide free shuttles to and from the festival grounds throughout the day.
