Keep Austin Weird Festival + 5K

Come celebrate our weird city and don't forget to dress up!

Keep Austin Weird Festival + 5K

Keep Austin Weird and keep our parks beautiful by coming out to celebrate the city we all love so dearly! Donations will benefit the Austin Parks Foundation that works to create and sustain the natural beauty of Austin.

This Saturday, June 23rd at The Long Center marks the 10th annual Keep Austin Weird Festival & 5K. Join your fellow Austinites, as we toast the people, places, and businesses that make up our insanely adored and insanely weird city. Catch great live music from 2:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M., tons of family activities, local food vendors, artisan exhibits, 5K run, and a costume contest with a cash prize for the weirdest costume!

The Keep Austin Weird 5K takes off at 7PM and features unique, interactive stops along the course, making the trek more fun than fast. It's not too late to sign up, so register today! Registration for the 5K includes access into the festival, participation in the 5K, KAW t-shirt, runner bib and event information packet.

Leave the car and bring the bike! Parking will be limited, so in keeping with the bike-friendly nature of our city, festival-goers are encouraged to ride their bikes. Plus, Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop will be offering a bicycle valet service in the parking corral near the east festival entrance gate. No need to bring a lock because the staff will be keeping a close watch over all the bikes.

Bring your chairs, umbrellas, blankets, leashed up pups, and kids. Leave your coolers, alcohol, glass, and outside food/drinks (other than water) at home. Most importantly, don't forget to wear your most creative and weirdest costume to participate in the costume contest! The Chrontourage will be signing up contestants before the 5K and winners will be announced after the run at 8PM.

Visit www.keepaustinweird5k.com for more details, registration for the 5K run, and to purchase festival passes. It’s going to be one amazing, weird Austin day!

See you Saturday, Austinites!
