Fresh off a U.S. tour with Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, hometown darlings The Preservation will be taking the stage tonight (5/17) at Beale Street Tavern.
It’s their first show back in Austin, and they’ve got a few new tunes up their sleeves, as well as several favorites from their newly released LP “Two Sisters” to get your toes tapping and your hands clapping. Self-described “cosmic American music from the heart,” The Preservation sound is an energetic, harmony-driven blend of roots, rock, and psychedelic pop music with a melodic core that recalls the eclectic sounds of The Kinks, Harry Nilsson, and Brian Wilson. Tickets are $5 and are available when the doors open at 8 p.m.
