Halloween in November

By Richard Whittaker, November 7, 2008, 3:43pm, Chronique

After all that effort that went into the design and build, it seems a bit peculiar for local Halloween attraction the House of Torment to plunge everything into darkness.

They'll be reopening Nov. 7-8 (yes, they know Halloween's over) for two special nights called Dark Stalker. It's an evolution of the flashlight fright nights at Baton Rouge's 13th Gate, where the only light is from flashlights, one per party. But while customers can point the light where they want to go (or where they think the monsters might be), House guests will get a glow stick. They'll be in a pool of light, making it easier for the monsters to find them than for them to find the monsters. Oh, and fans can't take it too easy: They'll have to start at the back door and navigate their own way out.

Before the lights go out, here's a reminder of what it all looks like behind the scenes (or you can read all about it here).
