SXSW Rolls Out Sixth List
Another Friday, another list of acts headed to Austin for South by Southwest. The mega-festival creeps just five weeks away now and today’s list of 126 artist additions – highlighted by Moby Grape great Peter Lewis, raging L.A. power duo Deap Vally, and neo-retro Latin rockers Chicano Batman – brings the running total to roughly 1,303.

SXSW Music No. 5
South by Southwest arrives in exactly six weeks. Music fans from Austin to Australia remain eager for some mention of headliners, but so far the local conference has proved stingy in that department. Since last fall, South by Southwest has parceled out its 2017 music lineup via sometimes massive lists revealing hundreds of performers. From here on out, the conference will release small batches every Friday. This week’s arrives a day early so as not to compete with tomorrow’s presidential inauguration.

SXSW Music List No. 3
Now two months way, South by Southwest Music released its largest block of bands to date this morning. The new batch of 498 acts includes psychedelic stoner trio Dead Meadow, rising Minneapolis singer/rapper Lizzo, B-52’s singer Cindy Wilson, and Sad13, pop project of Speedy Ortiz frontwoman Sadie Dupuis.

SXSW Expands Music Festival
