In the March 20 News story "Behold the Texas Miracle!" a quote attributed to Ann Beeson of the Center for Public Policy Priorities mistakenly confused national data with Texas data. It should have read, concerning national employment statistics: "Sixty percent of the jobs that were lost during the recession were middle-range occupations, that paid between $14 and $21 per hour. Fifty-eight percent of the new jobs created since the recession are low-wage jobs that just pay between $7 and $13 per hour. So it's pretty stark." (Comparable statistics for Texas are currently unavailable.)
The March 27 story "Paying Out of Pocket for Autism" incorrectly identified the name of the treatment recommended to Quintin Whitted. In fact, it is "applied behavioral analysis." The story also misspelled Ann Hart's last name. The Chronicle regrets the errors.
