THE DAILY ... GAILY!

Hi, let us get acquainted, dear SXSWer. We are the Gay Place, the only dedicated and concerted LGBTQ column of listings in an alternative newsweekly. Austin, Texas, if you have not noticed, is very gay. SXSW, if you have not noticed, is appropriately proportionately gay. There is so much queer in here, we decided to do for you what we do each week in the pages of The Austin Chronicle: bring you the best in LGBTQ Austin from the knowing lense of an alt-newsweekly. Booya. There you go. Our mission statement in a nutshell. You're welcome. So, get out of your nutshell and see what queer Austin has to offer during this Fest. NOTE: If it's marked SXSW, it requires credentials. If you have any questions about our town, feel free to contact us: [email protected]. And, of course, we have so much more to share online: austinchronicle.com/gay.

Many thanks to Neha Aziz, Rob Cohen, Nina Hernandez, and Sarah Marloff for assistance.
