THANK YOU FOR FLYING GAY PLACE But don't unbuckle that seat belt just yet; we've still got a full weekend ahead. Seriously, before we depart, we do wish to sincerely thank you for allowing Gay Place to be your LGBTQ guide for the duration of your visit (or for you locals: that marathon of 5am Mrs. Johnson's stops every night for 12 in a row). There's no reason why you cannot continue to check this column from home, online, and at least pretend to continue the friendship so we don't feel so much like that discarded condom wrapper you left for housekeeping:

LITTLE STOLEN LAWN CHAIRS I can't think of a more perfect name for Austin's own interpretive dance darlings, Little Stolen Moments. Except for perhaps this line from a Tweet from Lindsey, one of the trio: "Sappy sexy is our bread and butter." Oh, God, that's beautiful and so true. For me, watching Little Stolen Moments perform is like having all of my hopes and dreams and potential to love all ball up in an artery and burst into one of the most poetic heart attacks ever. God I love them. And I don't personally know anyone who doesn't (and if you don't, save it, pal; you don't want to mess with this monster dyke who is subsisting on nachos and so little sleep right at this little stolen moment). Just for kicks, I've posted the PJ Raval-directed (Trinidad, Trouble the Water, and Christeene's "Fix My Dick" video) dances to "All the King's Men" by Wild Beasts on our Gay Place Blog. The boundless body art that is Little Stolen Moments hits the 3:45pm slot at Bring Your Own Chair 5. Please go see them. They are Austin. Noon. Pedernales Lofts Courtyard, 2401 E. Sixth. www.shiny.tv/blog/byoc-5- music-fest-saturday-march-20, www.myspace.com/littlestolenmoments.

THE STRANGE POWERS OF KERTHY FIX We had our own li'l old homey reunion this week, as our pal, the dangerously dynamic Kerthy Fix (she, New York filmmaker and ex-Austinite of the mid-Nineties band Olive and the Performance Art Church – Pe.A.Ch.) brought her film to town. The epic 10-years-to-make Strange Powers: Stephin Merritt and the Magnetic Fields shows one last time. 7:45pm. Alamo Ritz 1, 320 E. Sixth. www.strangepowersfilm.com.

SPEAKING OF PERFORMANCE ART CHURCH And speaking of li'l old homey reunions, our other pal, the dangerously derring Fausto Fernós (he, current Chicagoan and ex-Austinite of the cable access show El Chow de Faustina and Pe.A.Ch.) is podcasting all week from his mother's living room. And a certain Gay Placer (named Kate X) will be sitting in after Sunday. Tune in, please. www.feastoffun.com.

POUNCE ON THAT BOUNCE Quick! Pass the church fan! Or better yet, that gallon jug of hurricanes. It's getting so hot, a fat lady might faint. The official SXSW New Orleans Bounce showcase, including a butt-ton of sissy bouncers, happens tonight, all night at Submerged, starting at 6pm with Wild Wayne, Black Kold Madina, Ms. Tee, Magnolia Shorty, Big Freedia, Katey Red, Vockah Redu & the Cru, Partners N Crime, and wrapping up in the 1am slot with DJ Jubilee. But before all that is the "Where They At" bounce photo expo, featuring the work of Chron-contributor Aubrey Edwards at Birdhouse Gallery and Big Freedia & the Divas at the Mess With Texas Festival. Trust your buddies at the Gay Place, this is a must-see and -do. See you on the ... backside. Birdhouse Gallery, 1304 E. Cesar Chavez. 3:30-4:30pm, Mess With Texas, 1001 E. Sixth.

SCISSOR SISTERS?! Really, just the final nail in the Gayest. Southby. Ev. Ar. Coffin. 12mid, Stubb's, 801 Red River. www.scissorsisters.com.

SUNDAY IS GAY FUN DAY Holy Lady Gaga's gag reflex, Sunday has turned into quite the queer afterparty. There's Gay bi Gay Gay, the legendary and shambolically curated all-day Eastside backyard throwdown featuring too many local and national names you've already seen here in BOLDFACE in this column over the past few years. There's Nakia at the Continental Club (5:30pm) and the one that tweaks our freak, StABBA at Emo's (8pm). That's some serious freakin' gay, my people. www.myspace.com/ gaybigaygay, www.nakia.net, www.lisamarshall music.com, www.myspace.com/stabbaband.

The Gay Place loves you; keep those cards and letters comin’.
