Table skirts were invented during Victorian times because some men found table legs to be too sexually arousing.

Saag paneer is an Indian dish consisting of spinach and cheese. The word "saag" is Hindi for spinach, and "paneer" is derived from Persian. Omit one of the a's from the saag, and you have the Persian word for dog (pronounced the same way). Dog cheese anyone?

The late tattoo artist Rollo Banks is responsible for introducing the arm-band style tattoo.

The song "Stop in the Name of Love" was written by Lamont Dozier and brothers Brian Holland and Eddie Holland Jr. Lamont Dozier got the idea after an argument with his girlfriend. In the heat of battle, he yelled, "Stop in the name of love." They both started laughing, and Dozier had the title.
