Christo and Jeanne-Claude will present a lecture, Work in Progress: The Over the River Project for the Arkansas River, State of Colorado, on Thursday, March 30, 7pm, at the Paramount Theatre, 713 Congress. Tickets are $20-48.

Austin Green Art is sponsoring several events in connection with Earth Day 2006, including the installation of up to 100 Green Gates in various Austin parks, a performance festival of short works, Extravagreenza, at Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum April 15-23, and a Rock the Earth benefit concert. Austin Green Art and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center are co-sponsoring Sculptures in the Wild, an art installation event on Thursday, March 23, 6-8pm, at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, 4801 La Crosse.
