Austin artists and agencies will receive a total of $891,200 in the latest round of federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts

Texas Folklife Resources, which received $20,000 to support a folklorist position with duties including fieldwork and planning with African-American and Hispanic organizations in Brazoria and Hidalgo counties;
Pro Arts Collective, which received $10,000 to support outreach activities and the eighth annual African American Festival of Dance
Junebug Productions, which received $15,000 to support the documentation and collection of stories from the civil rights movement, which will be used to formulate future theatrical work;
Creative Opportunity Orchestra, which received $20,000 to support Circle of Light, a weeklong residency in elementary schools where students participate in workshops relating to holiday traditions and practices;
Austin Symphony Orchestra, which received $20,000 to revitalize Austin public high school orchestral programs; and
Conspirare, which received $15,000 to support choral performance touring and residency activities.
